<description>&lt;p&gt;I think one of the things that people forget is that, while we are a one-party state on the surface, the Democrats on Beacon Hill vary so wildly in their positions that we STILL can have gridlock on issues because not all Mass-Dems will rubber stamp issues for the sake of it.  What we WON&apos;T have, however, is Bible thumping right wing freaks who are socially regressive.

The word Republican is so unpallatible in this state that we have a defacto Republican party... we call them un-enrolled (or Independent in other states).

We really need Left, Center and Center-right Democratic differentiations because that&apos;s what we already have in practice.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
