This illustrates one of the fundamental differences between Democrats and Republicans. Democrats don’t think the voting public are stupid enough to judge an entire political party by one misspoken sentence. Republicans know that they are. If a Democratic President had made as many verbal missteps as President Bush the Republicans would have crucified him by now.

right you are bob - the globe had a full write up on the one point better Bush did on his cumulative average at yale - worth pointing out I guess.

I am certainly no Bush fan, but it is public record that he had (slightly) better grades at Yale than Kerry did.
