"Rachael Ray $40 A Day" cracks me up. Ever actually *watch* the show? The lunch is always something like the cheapest vegetarian quiche available, a small coffee, and zero tip. Uh-huh. That'll tide me over for a few hours. Question is, therefore, why does she have such a fat ass on what is apparently a 800-calorie per day diet?

Great video. Once, just once, I'd love her to take a bite of something, drop the fork, look at the camera in horror and shriek, "My God! That's Moose-turd pie!" And your not kidding about her book signings. I have friends who work at the local Borders. Earlier this year they had Ms. Ray scheduled for an appearance and all their preparation put you in mind of the 101st Airborne's efforts to fortifly Bastogne.

Watching the video makes you realize why they almost never show her below the waist. The same fan madness happened a couple weeks ago when Ina Garten, aka The Barefoot Contessa, did a book signing at Crate & Barrel on Boylston St.
