Go Elf Yourself!

If you're bored out of your gourd, sick of your family, running out of eggnog, and needing a little laugh, head over to www.elfyourself.com.

Elf Yourself is a cute little Flash device that allows you to upload a headshot of a friend or - if you're feeling a little surly - that certain family member who drank the last bottle of your favorite beer. With a little centering and sizing, you can plop your buddy's head on top of an elf's body, and you can watch your new elf get down and do the Macarena.

After knocking a few back, Elf Yourself can get pretty amusing, especially if you start putting the heads of famous figures on top of elfin bodies. The name "Elf Yourself" suggests that you're the only one you should be elfing, but why stop there? The less likely a person is to be an elf, the better they're going to look on screen. (Actually, Mayor Menino might be a good elfing candidate.)

"Elf Yourself" comes from Office Max, which isn't usually known for its creativity, but they churned out all kinds of fun holiday timewasters.
