A Disturbing New Year's Eve Blotter

dorchester-shootings.JPG
It would be nice if the blotter for the first day of 2007 focused on the typical New Year's Eve drunk and disorderlies. Unfortunately, six people were shot in four separate locations around 5 this morning in Dorchester.

A 14-year-old died in the shootings. That makes yet another preteen who has been cut down in a matter of weeks. The Boston Police Department believes that two of the episodes unfolded at "private house parties" that turned ugly.

Even though someone died, potential witnesses aren't talking, as noted several times in the BPD report. Fox's report made a brief reference to a man and a woman who were spotted leaving the scene with guns.

The BPD has made a New Year's Resolution regarding the persistent violence, and, in the words of Commissioner Ed Davis, "Residents, particularly in the Dorchester community, will see an increase in police presence." Commissioner Davis also found it "astonishing" that witnesses aren't cooperating and hopes they'll offer information anonymously via CrimeStoppers 1-800-494-TIPS.

I agree with chantel but what about these mothers that HAVE jobs? Good jobs ok so why cant they save up their $$ and get another house/apt? Why what are they doing with their loot? Seems odd dont it? And if thier sons are making $$ the hard way then they should give $$ to their mother!

    Peace

I WOULD LIKE TO SAY ONE MORE THING FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO CANT READ OR UNDERSTAND WHAT I WROTE THE FIRST TIME.

I ONLY FEEL BAD FOR THE INNOCENT CHILDREN WHO GET KILLED & OR HAVE TO SEE THIS DRAMA BUT NO ONE SEE'S THAT THEIR OWN PEOPLE ARE DOING THIS TO THEM AND I DONT PUT ALL THE BLAME ON THOSE PARENTS BUT YES TRUE SOME PARENTS DONT RAISE THEIR KIDS RIGHT BUT ALOT OF THEM HAVE NO CONTROL BUT ITS YOUR FAULT FOR NOT TAKING THEM ELSEWHERE WHEN U HAD THE CHANCE MAYBE THEY WOULD HAVE HAD A BETTER LIFE.JUST REMEMBER ONE THING WHERE THEIR'S A WILL THEIRS A WAY, ALWAY'S A BETTER WAY OUT.

I aint got no sympathy for these people, heres why.

Alot of these families always on the news sayin I cant take all these shootings anymore they cry for help well then if u dont like it or cant take it anymore THEN MOVE.OH MY FAV. ONE IS WHEN THEY SAY OH WE SHOULDNT HAVE TO MOVE WEV'E BEEN HERE 30 YRS, then stop ya cryin. Instead of livin off the system why dont u get your kids to stop sellin drugs if they really care about their families (" like they say they do") then they would find a better place for their mother to live but all they care about is themselves!THEY CAN WEAR ALL GOOD CLOTHES HAVE 10 PAIR OF SNEAKERS DRIVE FANCY CARS & HAVE OVER $500 IN THIER POCKETS BUT THEY CANT HELP THIER OWN FLESH IN BLOOD. What a bunch of low-lifes they think this is their world & their runnin the show well I got news for them cuz thier day is coming! These people in Dorchester & other areas are A JOKE. Their a poor excuse for the black community & the good one's who are tryin to make something of themselves, You would never once see a man from Africa acting this way, why? Cause their not animals, they have respect for people, & are well educated! My point being is that everybody needs to just STOP lifes to short & families who think they have to live bad day to day no money no food cant pay the rent then I strongly suggest try to seek options it may save your life, & stop cryin for help cuz no-one cares even if they wanted to nothing will ever change they only do it to themselves.
