Confusing Gift from Gloucester

absurdlysmallshirt.jpegWhat do you do ten days after Christmas when you've gotten a gift and you're still not sure what it is and you've really got to get that thank you card out to Grandma? Bring it into the office and start asking around. It will be an amusing game for everyone. This morning a teeny tiny shirt showed up with a co-worker, looked sized to fit a Cabbage Patch Kid. It had been received in the mail as a holiday gift from a relative without malicious intent. Obviously it had to be too small, or perhaps a gag, maybe a blatant mistake. A rush to the internets solved the mystery. It's Magic.

The Magic Scarf Company, based in Gloucester, have been responsible for distributing the magic scarves that have been making their way into all sorts of boutiques and shops for the last couple of years (you know them, it's a scarf, a shawl, a top, etc.). They've also got a line called "Popcorn." The shirts look absurdly small, but stretch to full size when you put them on. They really should come with an explainer. From their website:

Our Popcorn Shirts are the ultimate in easy care fashion for gals on the go! While they are tiny and compact when not being worn, they expand to fit sizes small to large - and in a most flattering way. Our Plus Size fits up to size 22.

Gourmet Popcorn Shirts are comprised of Satin and are cut fuller and with a bit more attention to detail.

We're not sure if this is just weird, hilarious, or serious fashion, but it was cause for amusement. The line includes all sorts of cardigans, dresses, shirts, and even a handbag. To be honest, the handbag seems like it might be a little too similar to Glad ForceFlex bags.

Image of a woman holding the same model and style shirt as she's wearing from the Magic Scarf website where you can get your very own popcorn shirts and accessories. Which are, in all honesty, much nicer than we've made them out to be in this post.
