Tomorrow, the ICA will offer a sneak preview of Pan's Labyrinth, the latest from Hellboy director Guillermo Del Toro. This critically acclaimed movie follows a young girl who uses fantasy to escape the horrors after the Spanish Civil War.
Alas, the sneak preview is sold out, but Pan's Labyrinth is only one of the movies in the ICA's Super Vision Film Series. The Matrix will screen next at 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 18. Even if you've seen this Keanu Reeves opus a million times, watching the movie in the visually dizzying ICA will add a whole new layer to the experience. Later on, the series will feature Being John Malkovich (January 19 at 7:00 pm), the original Superman (accept no imitations on January 21 at 3:00 pm), and Cremaster 5 (January 21 at 7:00 pm).
As for Pan's Labyrinth, the sneak peek should whet your appetite for the movie, which will arrive in Boston in wide release next week on January 12. To whet the appetite more, here's the trailer from iFilm:
