Sports Redux – More Celtics Injuries

Celtics, 84 vs. Indiana Pacers, 97 – Perhaps the play was less "selfish," but the outcome wasn't any better when the Celtics were up against Jermaine O'Neal and Jamaal Tinsley. And Tony Allen, the go-to-guy of the moment, got hurt. This means everyone got hurt. Doc Rivers is even more down in the mouth: "This is just terrible. Tony (Allen) is probably an ACL. Tony's injury really hurt us, obviously. Not just because of his play. I think he's our emotional leader." Brian Scalabrine also got hurt, but it's not as dire. Celtics Blog says that Rivers can't even practice five-on-five because of the plague of locusts – oops, injuries – that seems to have attacked this team.

Elsewhere in the sports universe – Jason Kidd's marital woes are receiving an inordinate amount of attention. Sports-and-sex stories are always juicy, but this one is even more scandalous than usual.
