Wired named Boston one of its Best! Geek! Cities! (They abused the exclamation point - not us.)Why? Well, the abundance of brainiacs here should be a serious clue.

But what really impresses Wired is the fact that the city's geeks are - ahem - horny. In the romance department, Boston has a high amount of personal ads per capita on Geek 2 Geek, which proudly proclaims that "Geeks make the best friends and lovers, because they're smart and they're loyal." Only D.C.'s geeks are looking for more action, and Raleigh-Durham also comes close.

And Boston's geeks also have another leg up when it comes to dating. No one wants to date a deadbeat, but there are oodles of geek jobs to be found in Boston. Wired ranks high in terms of the number of tech jobs listed on Dice.

Wired jokes that Boston suffers from "involuntary celibacy," but now that you know what you're working with, it's time to take a look at all the smarties around you and break the ice.
