Sports Redux: Pats Hangover Edition

bruinssabres.jpgBruins 3, Buffalo 2 - Apparently whatever Coach Lewis told the Bruins in the parking lot worked. After three shootouts, they finally won when Marco Sturm broke through.

Celtics 96, Atlanta 100 - Ouch. At least it was close, but it was a loss to another team lurking around the lower reaches of the Eastern Conference.

To play the Celtics Glad Game, the Herald had a nice piece about Doc Rivers' relationship with the family of Martin Luther King, Jr. He told the Herald, ". He marched for human rights, not black rights. I think that’s what a lot of people don’t realize…. I think it’s an important thing to remember nowadays that he was able to accomplish so much with preaching nonviolence. He was not a violent man. Without getting too political, I think that’s something we can all learn from these days.”

Elsewhere: The Wizards' Gilbert Arenas, also known as "Agent Zero" and one of the most badass players in the NBA, scored 51 points against the Utah Jazz. Let's repeat that. 51 points. He told the AP, "I'm going for the gusto." No kidding.
