Hockey players everywhere are thawing out in Dallas for the All-Star festivities, and several Bruins are making the most of it.
While Bostonist was obsessing over the fancy new NHL uniforms, Iron Man Phil Kessel got the job done and scored three goals in the YoungStars game.
The Bruins' Zdeno Chara won the hardest-shot competition as well, and he was a defenseman for the Eastern Conference in the All-Star game. That didn't work out as well as the hardest-shot competition because the West defeated the East in the All-Star game last night, but Chara scored twice. The Globe's Fluto Shinzawa said that Chara looked "more like a sniper than stay-at-home defenseman."
Of course, Chara also got in a few words on the new uniform: "It will be an adjustment. We'll see how it works when it comes out in the NHL. They are tight. But it's not like you feel discomfort. Just tight."
Who cares if they hug those hockey player curves? They seem to be helping Chara's game!
Things aren't so hot for other Boston teams. The Celtics lost to the Hawks. Again. The Celtics have no business losing to the Hawks. And this is their ninth loss. Al Jefferson got injured, too. This lather-rinse-repeat cycle of injury and loss is getting annoying.
