Raising Funds for the Slaughter

A week from tonight the Boston Derby Dames take over the Shriners Auditorium for the Slaughter of the Revolution. The Boston Massacare will take on the Philadelphia Liberty Belles – get it? Boston v. Philly it's dripping with 18th century goodness. Tonight, the 'Dames will be on hand for a fundraiser party at The Linwood (81 Kilmarnock St., Boston). They describe it thusly

It's a fundraiser for next weekend's bout against the Philadelphia Liberty Belles. The bands rock, we roll, everyone dances. What could possibly go wrong? Nothing. The answer is nothing.

The Linwood Grill is a great bar with a killer menu for the restaurant up front and a party in the back room. The Boston Derby Dames have been bringing the all-girl DIY Roller Derby to Boston like it's never been brought before. Tickets to next week's match at Shriners Auditorium in Wilmington are on sale now for about $15 after service fees.
