Boston Blotter: Snowplow From Heck!

snowplow.jpgSnowplows are supposed to be helpful, right? That all depends on who is behind the wheel. Yesterday morning, in the daytime, one of Boston's snowplows hit a 64-year-old woman who was standing in the crosswalk at I Street and East Broadway. Then the snowplow left the scene.

The Globe called the incident a "hit-and-run" but a more accurate description would be "hit-and-plow-away-very-slowly."

Strip joint - oops, "Gentlemen's Club" - Centerfolds saw the wrong kind of action when an "unruly customer" refused to pay his bill. This wasn't chump change. The guy must've received special attention of some sort because his tab was $6,000. A Boston police officer on detail "tried to reason" with the guy, but the customer started pushing, and that's when he went to the Not-So-Gentlemen's Club - also known as jail.

Two people were stabbed early this morning around Beacon Street and Commonwealth Ave. According to the BPD report, three people hopped out of a car, jumped two people, and stabbed them. The victims are in stable condition, and one person has been arrested.

Also early this morning, a one-car crash in Cambridge on Mount Auburn Street left one 19-year-old man dead and another 19-year-old man in serious condition. The car struck a tree.

Boston's snowplows sure do plow it all, huh? Image from Flickr user markcbrennan.
