Boston Blotter: More on the Cemetery Man, Plus Anna Nicole Smith Dead
After one man turned up dead in Mount Hope Cemetery, the BPD reports that a 19-year-old man was found shot in Roxbury. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
More details are emerging about the dead man found above ground at the cemetery. He was in his 20s, and he was found naked. (Someone didn't want to leave evidence?) Police are thinking he was "killed elsewhere and dumped."
The DSS might be in trouble in the case of the 4-year-old girl whose parents allegedly killed her with an overdose of ADHD medication. Apparently the mother was supposed to have a restraining order against the father. However, he returned to the home "despite being told by DSS not to be with the children unsupervised." The family was already being monitored, but they may have taken the mother's word for it that the father was out of the house.
And, while it didn't happen around here, and it's not technically blotter, Bostonist was mighty surprised to hear that Anna Nicole Smith died. Anna Nicole Smith dead? With all she's done and all she's gone through, it's hard to think of a larger-than-life figure not being alive anymore.
The cause is unknown. She died at a Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Florida. And if Anna Nicole was going to go, that was probably the most appropriate place for it to happen. Gothamist has a full obituary. They describe her life as one "blanketed with trauma and lawsuits." You ain't kidding.
All charges alleged until proven under law. Image of a headstone from Flickr user dusdin. The image of the headstone was a comment on the cemetery death under investigation and not intended to be a commentary on Anna Nicole Smith's death.

I got to BU and one of my friends works at "The Castle," a building on Bay State road about 4 or 5 blocks from Kenmore square--she says they're filming a movie (Columbia Films is coming, according to her boss) sometime this week. Do you know what's going on?
