I always told (or tried to email) this clown that his future might be a return to the rhode Island backwaters. Actually i almost never faulted him for his conservative glibness or ad hominem attacks (not always such a bad thing!) what galled me was his gumba, our beautiful thing, can do no wrong rump swabbin' of monster meninno, er, Mayor meninno that is. That lil' friendship was totally out of context with his ideology. If you're a strong conservative, or strong leftist, show a little adversity towards the opposing side. i guess Depetro was hopin for the "keys" to the city. the only time ole' johnnie D' had the scales removed from his peepers was when mumbles talked about a state police escort for a visiting radical muslim cleric visitng one of the universities. In some concession to giggling John, he never really crossed the line further than the rko teflon talk host, Howie Carr. Really, not a dimes worth of difference imho. As i wrote in my previous comment blog; "finneran is the new radio star", these guys, like Amish looking, love chunks miller get the podium for 3 and more hours daily, pontificate wildly, then put you in the cyber shredder email list or cut you off on the phone if you give em' a dose of thier own medicine. thank God for a forum like bostonist............

Not to state the obvious but it does show that one can go home again and although Providence may be a big step down from Boston in terms of media markets, it is a huge step up from the unemployment line. Scotto, ya listening out there??
