Boston Blotter: Temper, Temper!

anger-management.jpgPeople who double-park can be a royal pain, especially if they're dropping off a passenger who is taking a little too long to get out of the car. But double-parking is not grounds for vehicular homicide!

The BPD reports on a 60-year-old guy who, fed up with a woman who double-parked in front of him to let out a passenger, lost his mind, honked his horn, and then took it to the limit:

The victim further reported that when she failed to respond, the suspect rammed her car with his. The victim stated that she then attempted to get out of her to speak to the operator of the suspect motor vehicle when the car sped up and attempted to hit her. The suspect motor vehicle came so close that it struck her car and its side view mirror came off.

The woman got the guy's registration number, and the police arrested him. In our past experience, many double-parkers are flat-out lazy and don't mind keeping other people tied up. But we don't know the whole story, and, if you're ever tempted, it isn't worth it to threaten a double-parker with your car. You'll feel better for a while, but you'll be hating yourself when the police show up at your door.

In other news, Framingham is no longer a handy hideout for Brazilian fugitives. Seriously - if you are a Brazilian and you need to escape a crime, don't come to Framingham. The police are expecting you. After catching two convicted murderers in 2005 and 2006, the feds caught yet another convicted Brazilian murderer trying to hide in the 'burbs.

Last of all, a water main burst in the North End, flooding the streets. The extra water was an annoyance, but look on the bright side - at least it wasn't molasses!

All charges alleged until proven under law. Image of a postponed anger management class, which the driver mentioned above could probably use, from Flickr user au_tiger01.
