Kaiju Is Coming to Kick Your Ass

Kaiju Big Battel is having a serious rumble tomorrow night at the Avalon Ballroom. If you show up, it will be your chance to be part of the Kaiju TV pilot, which will be shot for gaming channel G4tv.

David Borden, Chief Kaiju Officer, explains that "if all goes well" the pilot will air in July. Bostonist has seen plenty of G4tv, and, no offense to gamers, but there's only so much one can say about gaming. G4tv needs some Kaiju Big Battel on its schedule!

If you are unfamiliar with Kaiju Big Battel or think it is related to some weird Saturday cartoon, Kaiju Big Battel is actually the bastard offspring of Japanese monster movies, Mexican lucha libre, American professional wrestling, and a heap of fun. And it all started in Boston!

Borden sums up the amazing world of Kaiju in one sentence: "An epic struggle of good versus evil where Danger Can Happen!"

Actually, several struggles of good versus evil will be happening tomorrow night. Similar to WWF, smaller matches will build up to the ultimate main event in which Kung Fu Chicken Noodle will defend his title against pretty much anyone he wants. The Kaiju website explains, "Soup has earned the right to pick his opponent at tonight's Big Battel, and Kaiju are coming out of the woodwork demanding a shot at Soup and their chance at television stardom." So if you've always wanted to see a can of soup throw down, you'll get your chance tomorrow night.
