The MBTA opened up the new Charles/MGH stop last weekend. Among the changes to the station the most notable is pedestrian and handicapped access to the station. Escalators and elevators will take passengers to the platform from ground level, a welcome change for, uh, the stop named for a hospital. The reconfigured station will allow pedestrians to avoid a bit more of the traffic mess that is Charles Circle.
Now, dear reader, put on your surprised face. Grand opening MBTA style isn't the polished product you'd expect from any other service. We've gotten reports of closed escalators, confused staff and riders, as well as a whole bunch of dust that's yet to have been swept under the carpet. What this image shows is some of the wonderful signage that's been adorning the Charles/MGH stop for weeks months years. Let us take a moment to find the silver lining: it's written on wood. Better than many of the cardboard postings we've seen lately.

Sports Redux: That's More Like It

Don't forget that both the platform and the lobby were getting rain don in this recent ice melt. Apparently waterproof wasn't in the T requirements...
Typical T nonsense.
