Charles/MGH exterior T sign, MBTA

While most of us spend our morning commutes in zombie mode, Daviddesign captures color and patterns at the Charles/MGH T stop. It doesn't show any of the traditional Boston landmarks but this photo unmistakably says Boston.

Sadly, this "subway" entrance was torn down just after the photo was taken. I'm all for making handicapped accessible stations, but do they all have to be glass boxes and put the subway in debt? What happened to the wonderful old foot bridges which allowed traffic to pass underneath us without interuption?
