--More news emerged about West End Pizza, which served up cocaine, guns, and pizza. Police held a news conference showing everything they discovered inside the pizza shack and the owner's home in Revere, including machine guns with silencers. Did they deliver? Those are delivery guys you do not want to mess with! Police also discovered cocaine hidden in a tomato sauce can.
The Globe described West End Pizza, which is near TD Banknorth: "The tiny West End Pizza storefront had just enough room for an oven, refrigerator, and a counter with five stools."
The pizza place also served as a party spot, much to the chagrin of police officers: "On Dec. 3, a Boston police officer passing by noticed a raucous party underway, with two women gyrating on the counter while several men boogied away on the restaurant floor." Wow - once they broke the "no-boogie" law, there was no going back.
Since the owner was the son of what the Herald says is a "reputed mob boss," the police are probably quite happy right now.
Has anyone reading this post actually eaten at West End Pizza? How was it? Did you feel unusually hyper, awake, and confident afterward? Or did you bite into a shell casing? Let us know!
--No more triples! After two triple stabbings, a triple shooting unfolded last night in Roxbury. No one died, but a bullet struck a baby in the leg. The shooter or shooters are still on the loose.
--This isn't quite blotter material, but it fits in with yesterday's theme of contaminated water. If you know anyone in Woburn, tell them not to drink the water. E. Coli was found in it.
--Oh, and Bobby Brown refuses to vacate the blotter. His story just will not end. After a radio station kindly paid his child support, Brown refused to grant them an interview. According to WHDH, "The station and Brown's attorney mutually decided the deal was not in Brown's best interest and that Brown would return the money." Well, given his previous inability to pay off past obligations, the radio station shouldn’t expect that money anytime soon.
