Do the Mailman

Yeah, yeah, so Cheers bar is one of this city's corniest attractions, but our heart felt all warm when we found that John Ratzenberger, aka Cliff Claven the Mailman, is joining the cast of "Dancing With the Stars."

Cliff is replacing Vincent Pastore, whose girth prevented him from, well, being light on his feet. The dancing turned out to be too strenuous for him. Thus, Ratzenberger will enter with a perfect reality-show storyline - he has less time to prepare than his fellow contestants. Will he be able to make it to the next round? (Insert suspenseful music here.)

Ratzenberger also has an extra advantage. His partner will be the foxy Edyta Sliwinska, who was last seen whipping Joey Lawrence into shape. She can also handle men of a certain age whose joints aren't as flexible since she helped tan-man George Hamilton advance several stages in the competition.

The show will premiere March 19, so you can indulge in all kinds of Cheers flashbacks and bet on how soon the Dancing With the Stars producers will play the theme song.
