Map of the Week: Restaurant Week, Winter 2007
Usually when we feature a map we only give it the title of map of the day, even if we don't feature one every day. Today we feature the map of the week. Why? Because this week is Boston's Winter Restaurant Week 2007. The map comes from BostonChefs.com and their "unofficial guide" to Restaurant Week. It appears that the little chef icon on the map indicates the restaurants who have upgraded their listing with the site, the standard pinpoint is for the others, all participants in the week of $20.07 lunches and $33.07 dinners. Click on a location and you'll get a link to the reservation page (if available) and the vital info for Restaurant Week: if they're serving lunch, dinner, or both.
As we generally do, let us add a word of caution to you, dear reader, look for the good deal. Restaurant Week meals are three courses, but at some restaurants a $30 tasting menu is already offered, at others $30 isn't really a deal for the food they'll offer. Our tip of the day is to hop on Open Table and make your reservations ASAP – and when that doesn't find you the time you want make sure to call the restaurant. Some places are still holding spots for phone reservations.
Restuarant Week runs from Sunday, March 4, 2007 to Friday, March 9, 2007

Actually, dinners are $33.07, not $30.07. Still a good deal most places.
