The brackets are here. Get it, and hide it from your boss! On second thought, your boss probably has one, too. The No. 1 seeds are Florida, North Carolina, Kansas, and Ohio State. Boston College is a seventh seed and will play against 10th seeded Texas Tech. At least they know what they'll be getting into with coach/professional nutter Bobby Knight.
The Patriots buying frenzy continues, and they may have acquired a player who will really shake up the team. Wide receiver Donte' Stallworth will be leaving the Eagles and joining the Patriots. There's just one fly in the ointment. Stallworth is in the NFL's substance abuse program, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer's sources, which means he could be subjected "to a league suspension if he were to violate the terms of the program again."
If he stays clean, no problem. If he falls off the wagon … well, what's the point of having a high-class wide receiver if he can't play?
Things looked up for the Bruins, at least a little bit. They beat the Detroit Red Wings 6 to 3. Cash was involved. Whatever works is fine with us.
Things went downhill for the Celtics, but it's not that unusual. The Bulls beat them 94 to 78. The seemingly unstoppable Al Jefferson had a bad night. He scored only 10 points. If Big Al feels bad, everyone feels bad.
Daisuke Matsuzaka had his first bad day in a game against Baltimore, and Baltimore won, 5 to 3. However, he's already started off strong. As long as he doesn't freak out from all the pressure, he'll be fine.
