Boston Blotter: Disorderly With the Dropkick Murphys

dropkick_murphys.jpg--Sure, a little disorderly is expected on St. Patrick's Day. But some Dropkick Murphys fans took it to the limit at the band's show yesterday. The BPD rounded up six fans who had been ejected and weren't very happy about it. One of the guys, a Belmont resident, got so upset that he "punched and kicked several security guards."

--More disorderly took place early this morning when two Dorchester guys got into it in front of a police station. Somehow, if you have a beef and you want to "take it outside," perhaps you shouldn't do it in front of a police station.

--One rowdy individual did not realize who he was talking to when he became disorderly. The BPD reports that officers were on their way to a drug investigation in Eastie when a driver cut them off and spewed expletives at them. Then he kept cursing and pulled a wooden club out of his car. (Is that the new hot weapon of choice?) The police, who were apparently not dressed as police, informed the guy with the club who he was dealing with. The guy responded, "Oh, [expletive]." Gee, we wonder what he said?

--Not all crime was the standard St. Patrick's disorderly. A terrible incident happened at a Brighton group home in which a developmentally disabled woman had to be restrained on Friday and later died. The BPD reports that the woman became violent, and they restrained her, but then she "began to exhibit signs of a heart attack." She died at the hospital, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is going to investigate, but that will probably take a while since they have to clean up their sloppy mess in the South End.

All charges alleged until proven under law. Pluggin' the Dropkick Murphys. Album cover image from allmusic.com.
