Boston Blotter: Good Times, Indeed!

good-times.jpg--Someone took the name of a Somerville sports bar quite literally when they brought in 46.7 grams (about 2 ounces) of cocaine into the Good Time Emporium. These fellas took the tagline of the Good Time Emporium – "New England's Largest Indoor Entertainment Destination" – way too literally.

Somerville News reports that police officers swiftly took the two in, not just for the abundant white powder but also for the three rounds of ammo they had in the car. Keep in mind that the Good Time Emporium advertises that it provides "family fun" for everyone. Dyn-O-mite!

--A bus crash injured 18 students in Lowell yesterday afternoon. One bus rear-ended another bus full of middle-school students. Luckily, all injuries were minor.

--The T had a real problem yesterday morning when an electrical fire happened at the Government Center stop. WHDH reports, "Around 10 a.m., flames broke out in the overhead lines that supply power to the trains." That sure doesn't sound good. On the bright side, the fire was put out quickly, no one got hurt, and the stop was closed for only an hour.

--Witness intimidation just reached new heights in Wellesley. The teenage son of a Superior court judge is being prosecuted for the crime. No matter who his daddy is, he's not the kind of fella you'd want to mess with – the Globe says he's five-eleven and weighs in at 340 pounds. If all of the above is true, then the kid is the mother of all bad seeds!

All charges alleged until proven under law. Image of the Good Times cast from Amazon. Everything's Dyn-O-mite for JJ Walker (far right), but not for those guys arrested in Somerville.
