Brady's Pass, Incomplete

Gisele Bundchen set the record straight on a Spanish language TV show – she's not pregnant. Speculation began two weeks ago that Bundchen was preggers with Tom Brady's child. The rumors surfaced shortly after the announcement that Bridget Moynahan, Brady's former girlfriend, was three months along with the quarterback's child. Bundchen, Brady, and all their combined press people played the rumors like the Tony Snow answers questions about Whitehouse policy – vague and noncommittal.

The recent announcement was the first outright denial by any of the parties involved that the rumor was untrue. The Herald quoted Bundchen in the Track this morning "It's just something I don't want now – it's something for the future…I'm 26 years old…Why would I have a baby now?" For a supermodel who often is featured in lingere spreads a pregnancy would take her out of the photo pool for a good 9 months, if not more. The fact that a pregnancy is not desirable to her at this time is totally reasonable. The denial of the rumor does make us cry a little tear – we were hoping that the Pats superstar quarterback did indeed have some sort of supersperm. Brady had us in awe of his masculine prowess for a fortnight.
