Photo of the Day: March 23, 2007

B.G Lewandowski's photo titled "Groundhog Man at Night" reminds of us Spring --albeit in a quirky way.

DCist Exposed went well last week. The DCist photo editors, impressed with the quality of photos they were getting in their photo of the day pool, organized a competition and selected photos for a show in a local gallery. The show was a resounding success with coverage in the Washignton Post and other local papers. Almost 600 people showed up at the opening to see the unique perspectives on DC. There were few photos of monuments and more offbeat captures like a gorgeously lit macro shot of the outdoor chess boards at Dupont Circle and a mounted riot policeman sucking a red lollipop while surveying the protesters.

The number of photos in our pool is getting bigger and you guys are taking some great pictures. We'd love to get even more. The weather is supposed to be nice out this weekend so go click away and don't forget to upload them to flickr and tag them with "bostonist".
