I'm surprised that a bus driver would have to make a last-minute move like this. After all, in theory, a guy used to driving a route should be more familiar with the roads than your average driver.

But I think this underscores a problem with the Weston tolls: the signs above the booths make no sense to someone who doesn't take the time to study them carefully.

At a glance, it's not clear which lanes are Fast Lane only -- because most of the signs look the same -- same shape, same color. This leads some cars (and trucks and buses, apparently) to make a last-minute shift ALLLL the way over to the left lane, the one lane with a sign that looks different. It's also not clear from a distance which lanes are Autos Only.

Come on Mass Pike - help us out!

Fung Wah's problems make the news even when nobody gets hurt. Meanwhile, bus accidents that send people to the hopsital, like NJ Transit's crash last Thursday which injured 8 people, are no big deal because the bus company isn't Chinese-owned.

The obvious solution to accidents at toll booths is to remove the tolls. Having these obstructions on high-speed roads is dangerous.
