How about you leash your damn dog? Police at the intersection of Dorchester Avenue and Howes Street came upon a fracas in which a Rottweiler had attacked two smaller dogs and was in the process of trying to have a human as the main course.
The officer shot the dog dead. While we imagine the owner will be pissed at losing his Rottweiler, we don't have much pity for owners who can't mind their dogs - especially if said dogs are known for having a temper.
--The city of Rochester found out what happens when a propane tank allegedly goes through an industrial shredder at a recycling plant. It explodes. In fact, it explodes and causes a toxic four-alarm fire that forces residents to stay indoors.
--After the terrible incident in which 18-year-old Dwayne Graham was shot in the head on a bus and another man named James Jacobs was killed later, we're sorry to report even more violent incidents from Friday. A man was shot in the leg Friday evening in Mattapan. A woman was stabbed in the ankle. And then two people stabbed each other during a fight in South Boston.
The Herald interviewed Graham's mother, who is still at the hospital as her son barely hangs on. She said, " I don’t want no retaliation. I don’t want no violence. . . . They’re not just hurting the families, they’re hurting the community. They’re hurting everyone.”
--However, we're happy to report good news when we see it. The BPD did round up two guns after hearing shots, and one person actually admitted to packing heat and let the officer take the heat without a fight.
All charges alleged until proven under law.
