We've been calling former lieutenant governor and Republican gubernatorial candidate Kerry Healey's taste into question for a long time. Apparently the advisory board of the American Repertory Theater agrees – they've denied her a place on the board.
Healey didn't seem to be the type to enjoy anything, much less the theater, much much less the ART. Apparently she really did want to be on the board, and some members of the board were happy to have her join. They even invited her to apply.
But other members were still steamed about the Ben La Guer incident, especially that infamous fear-mongering commercial she released. So, on March 19, they voted down her candidacy.
We felt a slight twinge of guilt for adding to the anti-Healey pile-on, but her commercial was definitely in poor taste, and if she can't handle the management of her public persona, how can she help guide the ART?
