Have you always wanted to wear a fedora with a "PRESS" card tucked on the side? Well, Bostonist is growing! We're adding to our staff, and we're looking for people who can't wait to spread the latest news of our city across the Internet. Here's the personalities we're after:

—You are a diehard foodie who goes out several times a week. You salivate at the prospect of a new restaurant opening, you have a shrine to Julia Child in your pantry (well, maybe not … that would be weird), and you like to cook yourself.

—You're an art buff, an artist yourself, or the kind of person who would haunt the galleries whether you wrote for Bostonist or not. You want to review shows, installations, and exhibits as well share news of upcoming art events with others.

—Does the sight of city hall get your knickers in a twist? Or do you passionately defend the structure? You watch the debates over the use of land as if it were Wrestlemania, and you know that the BRA has nothing to do with undergarments.

—We'd also like to hear from you if you have a specific beat in mind. Art, food, and architecture are really intriguing us these days, but if you have an "in" somewhere, we'd like to hear about it. You must have evidence of writing experience (personal blogs are ok), and your beat must have a local twist. The one genre we're not interested in is first-person editorials.

Do you fit any of these profiles? Send us a sample of your past work from blogs or elsewhere, and send us a 250- to 300-word piece reflecting a current event on your dream beat. Write as if we'll post it – because we just might (we'll give you credit if we do).

One last note: If you cannot commit a few hours a week to Bostonist, please do not apply. We need people who are familiar with our style and who have the time to post at least twice a week for a year. It's a genuine commitment, and you have to already have a passion for blogging and Boston. We pay in public recognition, booze, and the occasional swag.
