The body of an MIT student who went missing washed up on Scusset Beach and was discovered on Friday.
Authorities had a "difficult time identifying the body," but it was that of Daniel Barclay, who had been missing from MIT since April 8.
According to the MIT Tech, an autopsy was performed, and the DA for the Cape said "there were no obvious signs of trauma on the body."
The MIT Tech reported that he IM'd his mom before he went missing, saying he had to meet with some "sketchy people" in East Cambridge.
However, his grandmother said that Barclay bought camping gear and a raft from Wal-Mart, and a raft was found near his body.
The Cape Cod Times also shares some memories of Barclay, who was a debater and an opinion writer for the Tech. One of the memories includes a funny rap he did about high bus prices.

He didn't IM his mom; he set an away message.
