The storytellers of The Moth will read tomorrow, April 23, at the Calderwood Pavilion. Stories start at 8:00 pm, and tickets are $18.
Nothing's worse when someone goes on and on about some random event in their lives, but a master storyteller can make even the most mundane moment absolutely delightful.
New York storytelling collective The Moth will be at the Calderwood Pavilion tomorrow night with an impressive lineup. The host is Andy Borowitz, who was interviewed by Gothamist and who recently posted the genius headline "WORLD SHOCKED THAT WOLFOWITZ HAS GIRLFRIEND" on The Borowitz Report. The guy does satire, but there's a kernel of truth in that one, indeed.
Bostonist favorite Mike Daisey will spin a yarn, along with the ubiquitous Steve "Candyfreak" Almond, Jonathan Ames, Joe Limone, and Lauren Slater.
(FYI to anyone who is looking to soak another one of Daisey's monologue outlines - Moth storytellers can't use notes, so take your anger elsewhere!)
The theme of the evening will be "Out on a Limb: Stories From the Edge," so we're envisioning a gently competitive atmosphere in which each storyteller tries to top the other in outrageousness.
