Surely he knew it would come to this. Surely Tom Brady knew when he donned the cap of the enemy that the Track Girls would crawl all over him, and the Herald would make him front-page news.
Wearing that hat is the equivalent of taking a big dump in front of the State House. And he had to know it. Of course, he has taken a lot of hits on the gridiron and might not be thinking right.
That hat also screams, "Please trade me! Please!" Perhaps he's making a not-so-subtle protest after Randy Moss was added to the team.
Note to Herald: While we find this story amusing and we appreciate your need to sell copy, this is seriously not front-page news. The guy does live in New York City, after all. And he is a free human being – except he does make a pretty penny working for the Pats.
If you're really offended by it, look on the bright side. Maybe he was making a reference to this Sportscenter commercial, in which Big Papi wears a Yankees cap – as a joke!
