If we think about soccer, we'll likely think of retired (or not-so-retired) superstar Zinedine Zidane - but for all the wrong reasons. Zidane broke into American news - or viral videos at least - for his brutal head-butting of a competitor during last year's World Cup finals.
The new documentary Zidane: A 21st-Century Portrait redeems the player's image by reminding people of his incredible skills, and it appeals to non-soccer fans by taking an artistic approach to the game itself.
The movie follows a game between Real Madrid and Villareal through Zidane's perspective. His performance is captured from every angle thanks to the presence of 17 cameras. Mogwai provides the soundtrack, and, judging from the trailer, the simple setup helps viewers experience how a player shuts out the crowd and experiences time in the middle of a game.
