So you'd like to get in touch with your inner zombie this weekend and do the Boston Zombie March from Davis Square to The Cellar. But, if you are a zombie novice, whatever shall you wear?
Bostonist e-mailed the crew at Halfway to Human, and part-time human Jesse Hirsch gave a few practical and stylish tips. Hirsch has some basic words of advice: "Searching for a zombie costume can be pretty easy, you just come up with a regular Halloween idea, then up the ante by covering yourself in blood and open sores."
Hirsch, who was a zombie gondolier last year, also recommends the ultimate zombie must-have: "One of the best homebrewed techniques is corn syrup and red food coloring, which is particularly foul and realistic-looking. And delicious!"
Hirsch described some of the possible reactions you'll get if you zombie yourself up right, such as this instance from last year: "As we crossed an intersection near Harvard, a car squealed up and some guy handed me a CD of his band playing spooky 'surfer zombie' tunes."
Don't forget! The march starts this Saturday at Davis Square at 6:30 pm! Bring the corn syrup!
