Nothing like a little suntan and self promotion to make a girl feel refreshed! I'm glad Robin asked that question--I'm wheel-less also. Anyone else have favorite beaches accessible by public transportation??

so, the photo editor gets to take the day off, go to the beach, AND gets the photo of the day for the next day? No fair! ;-) Great shot - definitely Crane's Beach, through all that blur. to the last commenter: my favorite accessible beach is the Singing Beach, in Manchester by the Sea. Its maybe 40 minutes on the Rockport line from North Station, then a pleasant 10 minute walk. Its worth it - a gorgeous beach. (note: it does charge something like $5 to get in)

This invites my "Ask Bostonist" question: what are the Great Beaches of Bostonland that a girl can get to via public transportation?
