Barney Frank: Ain't No Thing If It Ain't Got That Sling

Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank is wearing a sling. And, according to Wonkette, he sent an e-mail to Congressional offices announcing that he doesn't want anyone nosing into how he wound up in that sling.

Frank sent out a statement saying that he hurt his left arm "using a curling machine at a gym" and underwent surgery. We aren't using the scare quotations to say we don't believe him.

But we will say that the phrase "using a curling machine at a gym" inspired Wonkette readers to suggest that "curling machine" was perhaps a euphemism for something else. Perhaps the e-mail is a fake, but, given Frank's legendary touchiness, we're thinking it's authentic. Now excuse us while we drag our minds out of the gutter.
