Boston Blotter: These Guys Aren't Pimps of the Year

051807_pimp_of_the_year.jpgSix men, including two men from Boston, have been indicted for prostituting teenage girls. The charges include "conspiracy to transport minors across state lines for prostitution."

These people placed ads in the paper or kidnapped teenagers off the street and put them to work.

And these alleged scumbags fancied themselves pimps and gave themselves big pimpin' names, such as "Young Stallion," "Syncere," "Ruby Black," "Young Indian," and "Breeze." The last guy, from Portland, Maine, is listed as Truehart "Dwayne" Peeples in the Globe, but we think that may have been a mistake on the Globe's part. Why call yourself "Dwayne" when all the other pimps have such monikers like "Young Stallion"?

One of them thinks he's a loverman and blew a kiss to women in the spectator section during the hearing. That all sounds funny, but the indictment also mentions brutal abuse of the women who worked or were forced to work for them, including taping a garbage bag over a woman's head and raping another girl with a hairbrush.

--A woman's dead body was discovered in a Braintree apartment. Police have arrested Renaldo Pomare, who had violated a restraining order, and neighbors said they saw the late Michelle Durham involved in multiple domestic disputes.

The disputes followed Pomare into Quincy District Court, where Pomare and Durham's families started to fight each other. WBZ reports that "court officers had to separate the parties."

--In Walpole, a natural gas explosion sent five people to the hospital. Bay State Gas Co. was at work when the explosion happened at 8:15 pm last night.

However, the Herald put the number of injured at six and specified that two utility workers and four police officers working a detail were hurt. The officers were hurt trying to help the utility workers after the explosion.

--In news of the disturbing and depressing, a 6-year-old at a West Roxbury elementary school is accused of sexually assaulting one of his classmates. He's too young for charges, but if he keeps it up, he may turn out to be the youngest person in juvie.

All charges alleged until proven under law. Image of Antonio Fargas from I'm Gonna Git You Sucka.
