--Some young repo men watched the Emilio Estevez movie a few too many times. Or maybe Dog the Bounty Hunter. Michael and Robert Simeone, brothers who work for the family repo business in Brockton, were overzealous when trying to take a car from a woman who fell behind with her payments.
It was their job to take Sara Bradley's Ford Focus back. We thought repo men tried to be sneaky, but the Simeone brothers were bold. Michael Simeone tried to pull Bradley out of the Focus while Bradley's finacee and 5-year-old daughter were inside. A fight ensued. She took off, and the other Simeone brother hopped onto the roof of a car when she reached a stoplight.
Bradley was clever. With a Simeone brother clinging to the hood of her car, she drove him right to the police station. The Simeones were arrested. The car was still repossessed. On Fox 25 today, the father of the two brothers responded to Bradley's accusations of violence: "She's not Mary Poppins."
--A 16-year-old was stabbed to death last night in Dorchester at Havelock and Blue Hill. The young man's body was found two blocks away from a police station. This makes the 23rd murder of the year. The BPD states that "six to seven males were involved in the attack."
--A 40-year-old woman is accused of helping beat up a teenage woman at the Natick Mall. The woman wound up in the hospital from her injuries. Talk about not picking on someone your own size! Three teenage girls assisted Marilyn Camacho, who should probably be hanging out with people her own age. No word yet on if Camacho was a mom or relative carrying out a teenager's dirty work.
--Alleged madman Richard Glawson, who punched a juror at his own trial, will get a second trial after all. The judge of the case initially refused a mistrial but found upon further investigation that the remaining jurors were biased against him. And we don't exactly blame them.
--Last, but not least, the BPD went Masshole-catching. On Tremont Street, undercover officers would cross the street with a baby stroller. Thirty drivers didn't stop for a baby stroller. Massholes! Really, instead of a ticket, they should have been slapped with a bumper sticker saying "Masshole!" so everyone else could stay clear. Sure, some people crossing the street are boneheads who don't check the light, but not stopping for a baby stroller? Come on!
All charges alleged until proven under law.
