After a few weeks of uncertainty, the legal battle between the two men involved in the Brawl at the Hall last month took about as much time to resolve in the courtroom as it took for the pair to be escorted out of the Boston Pops' opening night festivities - about ten minutes.
Michael Hallam, 44, and Matthew Ellinger, 27, agreed in a closed-door hearing to not press charges against each other in connection to the fight that disrupted the kickoff to the Pops' May 9 performance, according to the Globe. The fight, which took place in the second balcony section of Symphony Hall, prompted conductor Keith Lockhart to briefly stop the musical tribute to "Gigi" underway at the time - and set off a rash of jokes across the country.
Neither man spoke to the media as they left Boston Municipal Court. Since the fight, Hallam has not spoken out about what went down that night, but Ellinger has said that he asked Hallam repeatedly to quiet down and tapped him with his program shortly before Hallam turned around and punched him.
This gives us opportunity to take you back to our first posts about the show-down, but it also gives us reason to repost video of the fight. Whee! Fight! Fight! Fi -
