(Air) Rocking Boston

airguitar.jpgThe U.S. Air Guitar Championship series is winding its way across the country and tonight descends upon Boston. The rock and its rockers will show their best air windmill moves and air thrashing at Harpers Ferry, the third stop on the 14-city tour.

Will Boston follow in the steps of New York and Washington D.C.? Both of those shows sold out, and we read today a recap of the D.C. battle from USA Today's Whitney Matheson (odds are good that you already read Pop Candy, but if you don't, um, you should). Whitney loved the night, noting that it ended with one of the greatest of all possible air rock moments:

The night concluded with one mass air-guitar performance, and everyone in the audience was invited to jump onstage and strum along. I can't remember the last time I've seen so many people looking so joyful and carefree in one place -- though, at some point, I did ask myself, Am I really standing here watching 50 people air guitar to Freebird?

FREE BIRD!

Show starts at 9:30 p.m. and is limited to the 21+ crowd. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased here.

This air guitar moment is brought to you by flickr user Malavagma.
