We'd heard that the 2007 WBOS Free Summer Concert Series at Copley was going to be a great one - and lo and behold, the folks over at 92.9 FM have announced a schedule full of acts we'd happily plunk down money to see. We are going to be making the trek to Copley a regular part of our Thursday evening routine.
The lineup boasts established acts (Martin Sexton, Jonatha Brooke), indie artists we can't get enough of (Matt Nathanson, anyone?), and local up-and comers (Sarah Borges, Chad Perrone, Eli "Paperboy" Reed), making for a nice, complementary blend of artists that fits the vibe of the WBOS playlist.
For complete details, check out the WBOS website, but for a quick hit, here's the six-week breakdown. All shows start at 5:30 p.m.
-- July 12: Brandi Carlile with The Dennis Brennan Band
-- July 19: Martin Sexton with Chad Perrone
-- July 26: The Cat Empire with Eli "Paperboy" Reed and the Trueloves
-- Aug. 2: DeSol & Ryan Shaw
-- Aug. 9: Fountains of Wayne with Sarah Borges and the Broken Singles
-- Aug. 16: Matt Nathanson & Jonatha Brooke

Democratic Primary Debate at WGBH: Transcript Time!

We already knew that the shows are complimentary...but I think you meant to say that the bands are complementary to each other as well!
Friday afternoon. 'Nuff said (but fixed - thanks, Nico!)
