We were so excited to have former Providence mayor/convict Buddy Cianci's larger-than-life personality in town as he transitioned into society with a gig at a local boutique hotel.
But, today, Cianci started another job at a Providence condo complex instead. It makes sense since it is closer to his home turf, but news articles also note the possibility that The Man thought Cianci's hotel job - and the ensuing publicity - was a bit too rich for their palates, so they have relocated him. Maybe they also had second thoughts since Cianci had that trouble with a fireplace log a while back.
The company is run by Joe Paolino, who was also a mayor of Providence. (Is there a club or something?) Cianci's daughter also lives in the condo complex.
The project manager of the condos said of Cianci's future: "Certainly, Mr. Cianci has talents in sales and marketing." If a guy can get re-elected after pounding on a rival for his ex-wife's affections, then he must have something going for him, such as that marinara sauce. A Rhode Island Bostonist associate swears it's actually pretty good - not gourmet, but better than Ragu!
