Gay Marriage Ban Defeated

WBZ has also posted the roll call vote so you can find out who to send a thank-you card. Or a nastygram, depending on the case.
Now that Pride has wrapped up, it couldn't have happened at a better time. A whole lot can change when the governor is on your side. Somewhere, Mitt Romney is feeling chagrined. He called it a "regrettable setback."
He must mean it is a "setback" for his campaign. The vote certainly isn't a setback for the families who are smiling now that this state's government has reaffirmed their rights.
One reader said, "In your face, haters!" Blue Mass Group calls it "A Glorious Victory." Universal Hub says, "I'm so proud to live in a state where equal rights are valued."
So, what are you doing to celebrate?
Image of Pride Parade marchers passing in front of the State House. Note the sign saying, "Proud of our gay son."

Another sad day for democracy. The nazis certainly run this state. Makes me ever so glad I packed up and abandoned that boston hellhole. At least my payroll and property taxes are put to good work here in the real Commonwealth of Virginia. I am embarassed to even admit I was born in jackass mass. The good news is Romney gets a good cold shot up his ass for not showing up and defending his position. No one here from Mass. regrets leaving and no one wants to go back and we can still smoke in the bars here.

How is it exactly a sad day for democracy when a state's government reflects the will of a majority of its citizens (and see the stats - a majority of MA residents do support gay marriage?)
I've seen your posts on DCist. You're just an unhinged Republican redneck with an incredibly insane-sounding obsession about public smoking. Good riddance to you - we sure don't need you around here.
