--Police caught a bike thief who got his mitts on the wrong bicycle. The thief stole a cute retro bike from the lobby of an apartment building in Mission Hill a few months ago. The owner did a little detective work on craigslist – where the perp put the bike up for sale!
Police set up an old-school sting. The owner arranged a meeting with the seller at a Stop & Shop parking lot in Brigham Circle. The seller was clearly multitasking because he arrived at the meeting with the bike and a 12-pack of beer in tow.
Police swiftly arrested Daniel Holzer, who was selling the bike for $100. The bike was rescued. No word on what happened to the beer. We hope it's safe with someone.
