Red Sox hitting continues to be a problem. I still wish that Boston had kept Orlando Carbrera for SS, Trot Nixon for RF, Mark Loretta for 2B, and Bronson Arroyo to strike people out and not Wily Mo Pena to be struck out. If Pena can't get into this lineup the way that they are hitting ...

Glad that the NBA Finals are over. Robert Horry is once again rewarded for doing the wrong thing, like getting traded from Phoenix to the Lakers after throwing a towel in his coach's face and winding up winning championships there, amd then hip-checking Steve Nash in this year's playoffs. Arrghh!

I've never had any trouble reconciling my love of the Giants with my fondness for the Sox ... until tonight. Going to Fenway tonight to see the orange and black will be surreal, since (as you pointed out) they haven't met there since 1912. In the more immediate context, I'd be surprised if the Sox pitchers don't recover their strength against the effete Giants hitters. And while the Giants' rotation is strong, just wait until the Sox hitters get to the saddest bullpen in the league ...
