ID Card of Local Soldier Missing in Iraq Found

061507_jimenez.jpgTroops found the ID cards of two of the missing men, including Sgt. Alex Jimenez of Lawrence.

The cards were located in an "al-Qaeda safe house." Jimenez was captured on May 12. A group had claimed that Jimenez and another soldier who went missing on the same day were dead, but no bodies have been found.

Three soldiers were taken in the original May 12 ambush. One of them was killed, and his body was found in the Euphrates.

The Eagle-Tribune has been following the search for Jimenez and the impact on his family, and it's the place to go for more details as they become available.
