MittWatch: With Ann You Get Meatloaf
First it was Mitt Romney. Then it was the Five Brothers. Now Mitt Romney's spouse and former Massachusetts First Lady Ann Romney might be publishing her thoughts in a book.
Ann Romney seems like a nice enough person. The Globe describes her as "sunny and cheerful," despite dealing with multiple sclerosis. And she must be putting up with a lot after L'Affaire Station Wagon. We're not going after her because she's not the one running for office. But she would be way more interesting if perhaps she got really pissed - not just defending her husband for being a dumbass and putting the dog on top of the car pissed, but really pissed, like Theresa Heinz Kerry does. Some more spice might be nice.
But Ann Romney is giving the public recipes, such as her hit recipe for meatloaf cakes. The recipe doesn't sound half bad, but meatloaf is as bland and as crowdpleasing a dish as you're going to find. Right now, Ann Romney is playing it safe - but we're hoping that she moves past recipes and the household later on down the road.
At the bottom right, Ann Romney as the modern Betty Crocker - a role she was born to play? Image mashup by Caroline Roberts.
