The Lite-Brite jokes are already flying, eh? But, seriously, the court house was evacuated later this afternoon because of a suspicious package, which might cause trouble at Miller Time due to the traffic.
Someone found white powder in the package, according to WBZ. The white powder is harmless. The Globe reports that it was a food product (flour?), but it was suspicious because it was "sent to a judge in an envelope that was designed to incite panic."
And we all know how sensitive Boston can be.
It also wasn't just a little bit of powder:
So much of the white powder had been packed into the envelope sent to US District Judge Morris E. Lasker that it spilled all over the clerk who opened it and on to two other people.
So now someone's gotta go to the cleaners. Ugh.
